We are seeking residents of Assumption, Jefferson, Lafourche, Orleans, Plaquemines, St. Bernard, St. Charles, St. James, St. John the Baptist, St. Tammany, Tangipahoa, Terrebonne, and Washington Parishes, Louisiana, to serve as Jurors for a mock trial to be held on Thursday, January 23, 2025.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE? Adult residents of Assumption, Jefferson, Lafourche, Orleans, Plaquemines, St. Bernard, St. Charles, St. James, St. John the Baptist, St. Tammany, Tangipahoa, Terrebonne, and Washington Parishes, Louisiana - ages 18-70.
Date of Mock Trial: Thursday, January 23, 2025
Hours are from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM (with a 1-hour lunch break)
REQUIREMENTS:
MUST BE a U.S. Citizen.
MUST BE a resident of Assumption, Jefferson, Lafourche, Orleans, Plaquemines, St. Bernard, St. Charles, St. James, St. John the Baptist, St. Tammany, Tangipahoa, Terrebonne, and Washington Parishes, Louisiana for a minimum of 1 year.
MUST BE 18 years of age or older.
MUST HAVE a valid Louisiana driver’s license or Louisiana State I.D. showing an Assumption, Jefferson, Lafourche, Orleans, Plaquemines, St. Bernard, St. Charles, St. James, St. John the Baptist, St. Tammany, Tangipahoa, Terrebonne, and Washington Parishes, Louisiana address.
MUST SPEAK, READ & WRITE ENGLISH FLUENTLY.
MUST BE ABLE to sit for extended periods, watch and listen to presentations on a screen, take notes on paper, and complete forms on an iPad.
MUST HAVE a minimum High School Diploma, persons with college degrees are encouraged to participate.
