Project Manager Lead - Renewables

AECOM is seeking a Project Manager Lead for our growing Renewable Department within the US Energy Practice. AECOM offers the freedom and flexibility to work remotely and/or be located at a variety of Energy offices located in multiple locations across the United States.Our team provides a wide range of services across markets sectors including transmission (substations, overhead and underground transmission systems, generator interconnections, interconnection strategy), renewable generation (Solar PV, Battery Energy Storage Systems, Wind), power distribution (overhead and underground power systems, EV charging networks, microgrid design, etc.), next generation energy (fuel cells, etc.) as well as advanced nuclear.We seek a project professional able to manage the design process from the project basis of design stage through the issuance of deliverables, ensuring seamless coordination between internal and external stakeholders.This position requires a strong understanding of engineering design, interconnection, utility markets, and construction processes. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to lead matrixed design teams and manage client-approved engineering consultants.Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:Supervision and Operations SupportSupport Department Manager in advancing the culture of customer service excellence and accountabilitySupervise and mentor a team of project managers through their individual and team development for greater utility to the organization and overall career satisfactionLead improvements in project efficiencies by creating, updating, and implementing group specific standards/templatesResponsible for team’s forecast management and trackingProposal support / capture leadership to support business development activitiesIdentify project opportunities early and facilitate go/no-go decisions, determine project fees, write proposals, prepare and lead client presentations, and negotiation of contractsClient development through existing contracts/relationships including managing key accounts and developing new accountsActively support recruiting effortsSupport projects through complete life cycle including the feasibility phase, preliminary and detailed design, issue-for-bid, construction, start-up, and commissioning· Project participation:Responsible for the management of assigned projects; Function as the project manager / program managerTake ownership of internal project financials, staffing, legal coordination, and risk management.Facilitate planning and kickoff meetings to ensure alignment among all project stakeholders.Oversee the design process, including conducting "page-turn design reviews" and equipment fabrication reviews at key project milestones (30%, 60%, and 100% design completion).Work closely with the technical delivery team (incl subcontractors) to confirm deliverables and services are being provided to exceed client’s satisfaction. This includes coordination with team members across the worldDeliver projects in accordance with the AECOM QMS processLevel Specific Responsibilities:Responsible for the overall management administration to project and assists in establishing project specific objectives and policies.Provides management and guidance to subordinate managers, enforces company and project policies, and a primary liaison between AECOM and client interface.Oversees and ensures all facets of the project are constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule through subordinate managers and supervisors.Responsible for administering the project from budgeting/schedule stage through procurement and contract closeout.
