Youth Talent Development Specialist

The Youth Talent Development Specialist is responsible for delivering workforce development, career readiness, and employment services to youth participants ages 16-24. The incumbent works closely with participants to assess skills, identify career interests, develop individualized employment and education plans, and provide ongoing coaching to support successful placement, retention, and advancement. This position serves as a mentor, advocate, and resource connector, helping young adults develop the skills, confidence, and experience necessary to achieve long-term career success. Job Description  Talent Development and Career ServicesProvide employment-related services to youth participants, including career exploration, life skills training, job readiness preparation, and job search assistance.Assist participants in identifying career pathways aligned with their interests, skills, and long-term goals.Assess participant strengths, competencies, employment readiness, and barriers to success.Develop individualized education, training, and employment plans in collaboration with participants.Guide participants through career planning, occupational exploration, and workforce preparation activities.Participant Coaching and SupportDevelop and maintain positive, supportive relationships with participants.Provide individualized coaching to assist participants in achieving educational, employment, and personal development goals.Ensure regular communication regarding employment opportunities, training programs, internships, work experiences, and career advancement opportunities.Support participants in securing and retaining employment by addressing challenges and identifying solutions.Maintain scheduled follow-up contacts to monitor participant progress, employment retention, and career advancement.Case Management and DocumentationMaintain accurate, timely, and complete participant files and documentation in compliance with program requirements and regulatory guidelines.Document participant activities, services, progress, outcomes, and follow-up efforts in the designated case management system.Monitor participant engagement and progress toward established goals.Ensure confidentiality of participant records and sensitive information.Track participant achievements and coordinate services to support successful outcomes.Program Support and Service DeliveryAssist with participant recruitment, intake, orientation, and enrollment activities.Facilitate or support life skills, job readiness, workforce preparation, and employability workshops.Provide front desk and participant support services as needed.Promote participant engagement in training, education, work-based learning, and employment activities.Support achievement of program goals, performance measures, and contractual outcomes.Community Outreach and Partnership DevelopmentDevelop and maintain relationships with employers, educational institutions, community organizations, and workforce partners.Conduct outreach activities to increase program visibility and awareness within the community.Identify employment, internship, apprenticeship, and training opportunities for participants.Participate in community events, career fairs, and networking activities to strengthen service partnerships.Coordinate services with community resource organizations to enhance participant support.Team Collaboration and Professional DevelopmentActively participate in team meetings, staff trainings, and professional development opportunities.Collaborate with colleagues to improve service delivery and participant outcomes.Share best practices and contribute to continuous program improvement efforts.Support organizational initiatives, special projects, and performance objectives.
