The Manager will report to the owners and supervise all staff of our Coffee Shop and Restaurant, located in a French Quarter boutique hotel since 2011. The Manager is responsible for hiring, training, scheduling, mentoring, and disciplining. Duties include organizing and overseeing side work in the kitchen, dining room, bar, and coffee shop.
Responsibilities include:
- Inventorying and Ordering food and supplies.
- Overseeing receiving practices and stock organization (fridges, freezer, dry storage, etc).
- Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout property.
Have or obtain Sanitation Certificate.
- Booking Special Events and Catering. Supporting catering production and execution.
- Learning the POS system and adding new items, specials, price changes, etc.
- Acting as MOD to handle situations with guests, staff, repair people, hotel staff.
- Leading by example as a working manager. In emergencies, being able to cover staff functions in the kitchen and coffee shop (line cook and bartending experience would be helpful).
We are open every day of the year, so weekend days and holidays are often required. The Manager's schedule will include a mix of early morning, day, and evening shifts.
