Our company is a hospitality-based, customer-facing business that is looking for a manager to coordinate our special events. We host weddings, private parties, and all types of holiday parties, all year round. The ideal candidate would have a degree in hospitality and at least 3 years of experience in time management, client communication and more:
Gathering information about the client’s objectives, budget and preferences
Providing advice about menus, decor and entertainment in a prompt and professional manner
Creating a schedule of activities for staff to follow during events
Communicating with vendors and suppliers
Managing the event budget
Handling problems that arise during the event
Overseeing servers, cleaning crews and other workers
Ensuring the event complies with insurance, health and safety standards
Proactively providing structure to each work day so that priorities are fulfilled without delay
The pay is a base pay every two weeks plus commission from special events.
