The Position: The Management team at Sunnies will be responsible for overseeing all operations of the bar, restaurant, and pool including hiring, training and performance, management of all supervisory and hourly staff, inventory management, customer service, and execution of store goals and promotions to maximize profits and guest satisfaction.
The Venue: Sunnies is bringing a pool side bar and restaurant experience to Freret Street that will be reminiscent of 1970s Palm Springs. This sun and fun driven space will offer a curated drink menu of contemporary cocktails, smoothies, and juices, to be enjoyed alongside a chef driven menu of swim friendly bites. Open to the public daily, the pool will be an aquatic escape. Heated and cooled year round, our guests will be able to unwind in a lush oasis or socialize with our regularly scheduled programming and events. For a more exclusive experience, cabana rentals will also be available.

Responsibilities
Work 40–50 hours per week on site
Greet and assist our furry customers and their owners with their orders, providing exceptional customer service.
Operate the POS system efficiently, handling cash and card transactions accurately.
Prepare and serve a variety of beverage and food items while adhering to food safety standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the FOH and BOH areas, including equipment and supplies.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service and timely food & drink preparation.
Manage inventory and assist in restocking supplies as needed.
Execute and manage the Restaurant’s food and beverage menu
Lead marketing, advertising, and event planning
Oversee purchasing, inventory, and cost controls
Develop and enforce SOPs
Manage hiring, orientation, and training
Ensure customer satisfaction and service standards
Enforce health and sanitation procedures
Monitor restaurant trends and contribute to business development
Assist with financial goals and reporting
Perform additional duties as reasonably assigned
Qualifications
Prior experience managing independently as a Manager or shift in a bar/restaurant environment preferred but not required
Strong knowledge of drink preparation and food safety standards
Familiarity with food preparation and handling in a restaurant environment
Proficient in operating POS systems. We use Square POS.
Strong independent initiative, advanced planning and organizational skills
Supervisory experience including but not limited to: interviewing, selection, managing performance, employee development and managing financials
Strong retail service knowledge, including seasonal patterns and trends
ServeSafe Certified/holds current Food Handlers certificate or would be willing to get one.
