Pluck, a James Beard–nominated Wine Bar & Restaurant in New Orleans' Warehouse District, is seeking a Kitchen Manager to lead our small but mighty team. We’re looking for someone organized, adaptable, and excited to collaborate on a dynamic food program. You’ll work closely with our consulting chef and ownership, with room for creative input and the potential to take on more responsibility as we grow.
Compensation: $21–25/hour depending on experience, plus performance-based bonuses and potential for benefits.
What You'll Do:
-Oversee food costing, purchasing, scheduling and inventory
-Train, motivate, and hold staff accountable
-Ensure consistent quality, detail, and standards in a small, tight kitchen
-Expo with confidence, maintain high culinary standards
-Collaborate on menu development and sourcing with respect for ingredients
What We’re Looking For:
-3+ years in fine dining or elevated casual kitchens, with at least 1 year in a leadership role
-Strong knife skills and culinary foundation
-Knowledge of health codes/standards (we’ll cover certification if needed)
-Self-starter who communicates clearly and works well with others
-Basic Spanish a strong plus
-Evening and morning availability
-Sense of humor
Physical Requirements:
-Able to work on your feet for long hours
-Comfortably reach, bend, and move in a tight line
-Lift and carry up to 50 lbs
