Our hotel is presently seeking applicants to fill the following positions:

ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER:

The Wyndham Garden Hotel is seeking an experienced and qualified applicant to fill the Assistant General Manager position. We are seeking an individual who can not only manage the hotel, but can lead by example. Applicant must have at least 3 years of hotel experience and 2 years of management experience. Finally, we are seeking an "active" operations manager, who does not prefer to sit or stand behind a desk all day.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

1. Hotel management experience (minimum 2 years+).

2. College graduate or have taken college courses in business or hospitality management.

3. Bi-lingual/multi-lingual is a plus.

4. Must possess a mature persona, emotional intelligence and be able to take orders as well as direct them.

5. Must be able to communicate well with others in an efficient and professional manner (at all times).

6. Must be flexible with his/her schedule, work weekends and holidays.

7. Must be able to work under difference circumstances and settings if needed.

8. Must be able to fill-in positions when necessary and have had on-site training in all aspects of each hotel department.

9. Must have the basic technical, verbal and people skills to succeed in this position.

10. Finally, upon employment will be required to train in selected hotel departments during probationary period.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. Will be required to learn and process information into the hotel's property management system (Opera) within a 2 week time frame.

2. Software knowledge includes - but is not limited to - Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, etc. Individuals who do not have a basic understanding of computers need not apply.

3. Experience using other hotel-related software is a plus.

4. Must have access to a cellular phone with text/data usage capabilities.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

1. Once-a-Month manager-on-duty (MOD) will be required.

2. Staff Meeting and Departmental Meeting attendance will be required.

HOUSEKEEPING SUPERVISOR

The Wyndham Garden Hotel is seeking an experienced Housekeeping Supervisor

with at least 5 years of hotel housekeeping experience and 3 years supervisory experience.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

1. Applicant must have a broad range of Housekeeping skills.

2. Applicant will be required to supervisor guestrooms, lobby, and laundry.

3. Applicant must have basic technical and verbal skills to succeed in this position.

4. Applicant must be available to work any day of the week plus holidays.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. Will be required to learn and process information into the hotel's property management system (Opera).

2. Software knowledge includes - but is not limited to - Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.

3. Must have access to a cellular phone with text/data usage capabilities.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

1. Staff Meeting attendance only required when Housekeeping Manager is unavailable to attend.

2. Monthly Housekeeping Department attendance is required.

BELLMAN - BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

-- Guest service oriented individual with positive personality and has basic knowledge of New Orleans and the downtown area.

-- Will be assisting the front desk with luggage handling and monitoring guests vehicles as they're checking in and/or out.

-- Also, responsible for monitoring the parking garage and insuring the garage and outside public areas are kept tidy at all times.

-- Finally, will assist Sales with meeting room set-ups and act as House Person from time to time.

-- NOTE: applicant MUST be flexible with his/her schedule, work weekends and holidays if needed.

FRONT DESK AGENT - BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

-- Applicant should have a genuine positive attitude and guest service experience.

-- Applicant with hotel or hospitality experience preferred.

-- This position will require the following skills: basic mathematics, checking-in/checking-out hotel guests, running the night audit, guest service skills, checking all payment postings for the day, incidental inspections, inputting reservations, taking reservations over the phone and organizing the front desk and reservations area in preparation for the following day. May be asked to handle luggage with Bell Person is unavailable.

-- NOTE: monthly front of the house meeting attendance required.

HOUSEKEEPING ROOM ATTENDANT - BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

-- At least 1 year of housekeeping experience.

-- Experience cleaning hotel rooms is a plus.

-- Can cross train to do clean public areas or laundry work when necessary.

-- NOTE: monthly back of the house meeting attendance required.

HOUSEMAN / LAUNDRY ATTENDANT - BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

-- Responsible for assisting the room attendants with linen and trash removal.

-- Responsible for assisting the laundry attendants in operating linen and machinery.

-- Also, will be assisting management with moving equipment and hotel supplies.

-- May be asked to cross train in different positions within the Housekeeping Department.

-- NOTE: monthly back of the house meeting attendance required.

PM MAINTENANCE WITH ENGINEER LICENSE PREFERRED- BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

-- At least 5 years of maintenance experience.

-- Working in the hotel industry is a plus

-- Basic knowledge in plumbing, electrical, construction work, etc.

-- Certification in any of the above is a plus.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

-- In the event of an emergency, may be called in to help with building-related issues.
