Our client is currently hiring a Heavy Mobile Equipment Mechanic – Lead to join their team! This role is perfect for a hands-on leader with strong technical skills in heavy equipment repair who can also handle scheduling, documentation, and vendor coordination.
You’ll spend about 80% of your time working on equipment (forklifts, cranes, loaders, etc) and 20% managing maintenance operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and ISO compliance.
Responsibilities:
Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on heavy mobile equipment.
Lead, train, and mentor maintenance team members.
Schedule and assign daily tasks through CMMS (Maximo).
Manage work orders, inventory, and vendor coordination.
Track KPIs such as equipment uptime and PM compliance.
Ensure compliance with all safety, HSSE, and ISO standards.
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance (lead experience preferred).
High school diploma or equivalent (technical training a plus).
Strong skills in diesel, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
Proficiency in CMMS (Maximo preferred).
OSHA 30, welding, or forklift certifications a plus.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends or on-call.
