Our client is looking for an experienced Heavy Mobile Equipment Mechanic to join their maintenance team in New Orleans! This position offers steady work, hands-on technical challenges, and an excellent team environment.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Perform regular maintenance and inspections on heavy mobile equipment.
Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
Replace faulty parts and components as needed.
Read and interpret hydraulic and electrical schematics.
Use diagnostic tools, hand tools, and power equipment.
Operate cranes, welders, compressors, presses, and other shop tools.
Work in-shop or field locations as needed.
Lift, move, and install heavy parts safely using proper tools and PPE.
Assist and guide other mechanics when needed.
Work rotating shifts or weekends as required.
REQUIREMENTS:
3+ years of experience as a Heavy Mobile Equipment Mechanic (preferred).
Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
Ability to read schematics and perform complex diagnostics.
Must have your own tools.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
