About the Role:
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Landscape Maintenance Assistant Supervisor with strong plant knowledge and hands-on experience to work outdoors in Louisiana’s dynamic climate. This role supports the Landscape Maintenance Supervisor in leading crews, maintaining high standards across our beautiful properties, and ensuring safe and efficient use of lawn equipment and landscaping tools.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in supervising landscape maintenance crews during daily operations.
Identify and care for various plant species including trees, shrubs, perennials, and turf.
Operate and maintain lawn care and landscaping equipment (mowers, blowers, trimmers, edgers, etc.).
Monitor job sites to ensure safety, efficiency, and quality standards are met.
Provide onsite & hands-on training and support to crew members on proper horticultural practices and equipment usage.
Communicate with clients and management as needed regarding site needs and issues.
Ensure adherence to seasonal maintenance schedules (mowing, pruning, fertilizing, etc.)
Requirements:
Proven experience in landscaping or horticulture; supervisory or crew lead experience a plus.
At least 2 years of experience in landscape maintenance or horticulture.
Plant and turf knowledge relevant to the New Orleans region.
Ability to work outdoors year-round in varying weather conditions including heat and humidity.
Skilled in the use and care of lawn and garden equipment.
Valid Louisiana driver’s license and dependable transportation.
Strong leadership, communication, and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in horticulture, landscaping, or a related field.
Experience with irrigation systems or landscape enhancements a plus.

Pay: Starting at $20/hr+, based on experience.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:45am–3:30pm. Weekends off!
