Position Summary:Under supervision, performs basic food preparation and food service duties in support of café activities, including setting up serving areas, assisting with routine food preparation, serving food, restocking and maintaining supplies for the kitchen and café, daily and weekly sanitation, cashiering, washing dishes and related duties as assigned.JOB REQUIREMENTS Education: Less than High School Education
Experience:
ServSafe certification preferred but not necessary
Prior food service experience preferred for Café Line positions

Other Skills Required:
Provide high level of customer service in retail operation, both while serving from the hot food line, and while operating a POS/Cash register
Ability to speak and communicate effectively, and to be friendly, caring, and respectful to all within the organization
Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
Must be organized and achieve high level of accuracy in daily work
Comply with all company, TJC, local, state, and federal regulations. Adhere to facility confidentiality, HIPAA, and patient rights policies. Assist in achieving stated patient and customer satisfaction goals, and mission initiatives of the organization. Participate and attend departmental meetings, staff development, and professional programs as appropriate
Maintain high level of sanitation in all customer and service areas
Must be organized and achieve high level of accuracy in daily work
Prepare coffee, package desserts, stock retail shelves/coolers, and fill buffet food items as needed
