Job Summary: Assist with the daily staffing operations in a very
busy physician practice.Job Duties to include, but not limited to: ? Coordinate front office staff daily schedules, includes
managing overtime and time off schedules.? Scheduling patients for office visits and procedures.? Coordinate referrals with Primary and Specialty Care
practices; ensure insurance prior authorization for specialized
procedures? Administrative secretary to Lead Physician.? Making sure Providers are updated in CAQH database.? Excellent customer service and ensure a professional
atmosphere.Education/Experience Requirements:? Associate degree in Business / medical related field or a
minimum of 3 years medical office experience.? 3 years medical office experience? 1-2 years' experience with personal computers and frontline
customer service? Knowledge of insurance referrals? ICD-9 and CPT coding experience preferredOther Skills Required:? Keyboarding 35 words per minute? Medical terminology? PC competency? Knowledge of computers (preferably Window-based applications)? Self-directed to handle multiple priorities successfully? Pleasant, friendly manner; neat appearance; ability to
communicate clearly and concisely using correct grammar and vocabulary.? Ability to function under stress? Strong organizational skills? Excellent verbal and writing communication skills? Ability to work independentlyPhysical Requirements: sitting, standing, stooping, reaching,
bending, walking and stretching; good hearing/verbal acuity; ability to
keyboard for long periods of time.Working Environment: Extremely busy, often stressful practice
providing direct patient care, front line customer service contact.
