Description We are offering an opportunity for an Associate Patient Care Coordinator in the healthcare and social assistance industry, located in Bangor, Maine. You will be working in a hospital setting, ensuring efficient and effective patient care coordination. Responsibilities: Greet and communicate with patients and visitors in person, maintaining a high standard of customer service Accurately enter and update patient demographic and financial information in the system Obtain, confirm, and file necessary applications and forms, ensuring signatures are on file Provide patients with financial responsibility information and document patient liabilities Collaborate with various departments including Financial Counseling, Scheduling, Financial Clearance, and clinical areas to ensure all aspects of the patient's encounter are completed as needed Assist patients with hospital information requests and provide wayfinding instructions Coordinate patient admission needs, bed assignments, and tracking boards where applicable Meet or exceed audit accuracy standards and work on worklists and error reports in a timely manner Maintain a safe environment by complying with policies and procedures, report and directly address environmental hazards and violations of patient safety policy and/or protocol when observed Perform other duties as requested.Requirements Proficiency in customer service and call center customer service Familiarity with office functions and operations Ability to prepare and maintain documentation Knowledge of procedures and policy implementation Experience in scheduling appointments and other scheduling tasks Experience in handling cash activity Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and general computer skills Familiarity with the About Time software Ability to perform ad hoc financial tasks Experience in clinical trial operations is a plus Comfortable with video conferencing and other video-related tasks Familiarity with HealthCare.gov Experience in onsite and offshore operations Ability to operate photocopier machines Willingness to work overtime when required Knowledge of handling liability issues Adherence to rules and regulations, no violations Awareness of healthcare industry standards and practices.
