Are you a talented culinarian seeking a better quality of life? Leave the restaurant industry stress behind - apply to join our small college community and take our unique food program to new heights. While other colleges outsource their cafeteria services, here at Saint Joseph’s our dining program is 100% internally operated. That means all of our chefs have the opportunity to craft a menu every shift and execute it to high standards. Prep positions and utility positions are also available.
This position is perfect for an eager to learn cook or someone who has a passion for food service and is seeking a more sustainable work life balance. Are you looking to change fields or finish a degree? We offer tuition remission to all of our full time employees and immediate family members, which includes children and spouses. We offer over 40 majors on campus and online, and our nursing program is one of the best in the state.
Just fifteen miles from the nationally renowned food hub of Portland, Saint Joseph’s is fully integrated into Maine’s local food system. We use the best ingredients to provide our students, faculty and staff the highest quality meals. Our pledge of excellence includes sourcing 40% or more of our products from local farms and dairies, and we even operate a hydroponic freight farm that provides 80% of all greens served on campus.
Additionally, working on our Dining Services and Events team also offers opportunities to cater signature events at our beautiful Stone Barn at Sebago Lake, located right here on campus. From weddings to meetings to community suppers, you can expand and elevate your talents to create high-end meals throughout the year.
