Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Dental Assistant with a strong background in customer service (previous dental assistant, waitress, or hostess). The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, a desire and capacity to learn quickly, self motivation, the ability to be a team player, and a commitment to providing top-tier patient care. Experience is preferred, however candidates who are willing to learn with a great attitude are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist the dentist during a variety of clinical procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety

- Prepare and clean treatment rooms while maintaining the highest standards of sterilization

- Take high-quality dental radiographs (X-rays)

- Record patient medical histories and vital signs accurately

- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care

- Maintain organized and accurate patient records

- Manage appointment scheduling and support front desk operations as needed

- Work collaboratively with the dental team to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; dental assistant certification and radiology certification preferred

- Minimum 2 years of experience in a dental practice or relevant customer service role (waitress, hostess, etc.)

- Strong interpersonal skills and a positive, welcoming demeanor

- Proficient in or able to learn quickly dental software (EagleSoft) and Microsoft Office Suite

- Ability to create a welcoming and vibrant atmosphere for our patients

- CPR and First Aid certification preferred

-Experience with root canal and oral surgery procedures are a plus
