Position Overview:

As the Lead Carpenter at Douston Construction, you will be responsible for overseeing the carpentry aspects of our high-end residential construction projects. From interpreting blueprints and coordinating with subcontractors to executing precise carpentry work and ensuring quality craftsmanship, you will play a pivotal role in bringing our clients' visions to life. Responsibilities:

Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements and carpentry tasks.

Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and other trades to ensure seamless project execution.

Lead and supervise carpentry teams on-site, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.

Perform a wide range of carpentry tasks, including framing, finishing, millwork, and custom installations.

Ensure accuracy and precision in all carpentry work, maintaining high standards of craftsmanship and attention to detail.

Procure materials, tools, and equipment necessary for each project, managing inventory and supplies effectively.

Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times, promoting a safe and secure work environment for all personnel.

Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to provide progress updates and address any concerns or modifications.

Collaborate with architects, designers, and clients to make adjustments or modifications to carpentry plans as needed.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a carpenter in high-end residential construction projects.

Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, materials, and methods.

Leadership abilities with the capacity to lead and motivate carpentry teams effectively.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.

Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering superior craftsmanship.

Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

OSHA certification or willingness to undergo safety training.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
