As a Lead Carpenter at Nautilus Construction, you will be the cornerstone of our production team, responsible for efficiently and profitably delivering top-tier remodeling projects. You'll be hands-on, using your carpentry and management skills to ensure projects are completed on time, on budget, and to our exacting standards. You will be the face of the project on-site, maintaining clear communication with clients, managing subcontractors, and leading by example.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all aspects of carpentry work, ensuring projects are completed profitably, on schedule, and to Nautilus' high-quality standards.

Maintain daily communication with clients regarding schedules, changes, and concerns to ensure satisfaction.

Manage job site operations, including supervision of carpenters, assistants, and subcontractors.

Coordinate and schedule tasks for your team and subcontractors, ensuring timely progress.

Handle material takeoffs, orders, and ensure all necessary tools and materials are available on-site.

Uphold and enforce all safety policies, ensuring a safe and clean work environment for everyone on-site.

Maintain thorough job logs, including daily updates, photos, and notes on project progress.

Set the tone on the job site, leading by example, and creating a work environment that encourages collaboration and excellence.

Inspect all work, ensuring it meets Nautilus Construction's standards of quality and adheres to all building codes and specifications.

Pre-schedule, coordinate, and supervise subcontractors, ensuring their work is completed on time and to the highest standards.

Quickly identify and resolve any issues that arise during the project, whether related to materials, scheduling, or workmanship.

Monitor project budgets, ensuring all expenses align with the project plan and making adjustments as necessary.

Mentor and train junior carpenters and carpenter assistants, helping them to develop their skills and advance within the company.

Ensure all tools and equipment are properly maintained, stored, and used safely and efficiently.

Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal regulations, including safety and building codes.

Continuously look for ways to improve processes, tools, and techniques to enhance project efficiency and quality.

Qualifications:

6+ years of full-time carpentry experience with strong framing and finish carpentry skills.

Proven ability to lead a team and manage multiple aspects of a construction project.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to maintain clear and professional communication with clients and team members.

Familiarity with building codes, energy codes, and the ability to read and understand contracts, drawings, and specifications.

Meticulous in documentation, scheduling, and ensuring all tasks are completed to the highest standard.

Must have the tools and knowledge required for proper installation and carpentry tasks.

Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and enforcing safety protocols.

Salary and Benefits:

Full - Time position.

Competitive salary of $35- $39, based on experience, with expected weekly hours between 40-45.
