This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for DHA for Business & Technical Management to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This NH-2210-04 has a duty location of Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. Responsibilities Serve as the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) financial systems Senior ERP Developer in the Army Shared Service Center. Provide solution, business process and technical ABAP Developer expertise in the design, development and implementation of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution across multiple systems, especially in the Finance Area. The ERP Developer understands complex project requirements and leverages expert knowledge of Systems, Application and Products in data processing (SAP) based ERP systems and components and software development lifecycles for GFEBS and GFEBS-SA. Manage the development of Enterprise Resource Planning activities of the customer. Devise new ways of accomplishing work functions with little or nothing in common except basic information used. Collaborate with primary stakeholders and customers in order to translate needs into technical ABAP/coding requirements. Specialized and Other Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (NH-3/GS-13) in the Federal service which includes: 1) Leading a System Applications and Products (SAP) Advanced Business Application Programming (ABAP) team using SAP ABAP/4 (Advanced Business Application Programming) development workbench to create solutions in areas such as: programming, debugging, performance tuning, design, development, of testing and implementation. 2.) Updating SAP development standards using development tools suited to HANA (high-performance analytic appliance). 3.) Resolving system issues within the financial accounting/control area of Systems Applications Products (SAP) applications; and 4) Trains junior system Applications and Products (SAP) Developer team members. AND The specialized experience must include, or be supplemented by, information technology related experience (paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training, as appropriate) which demonstrates each of the four competencies, as defined: (1) Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. Examples of IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: clearly explaining and defending complex ideas, appropriately adapting to each audience's level of knowledge; actively listening and clarifying points when presenting highly complex and controversial findings; using well-constructed, fact-based arguments to persuade stakeholders/officials to take action on suggestions for improvement. (4) Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. Examples of IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: providing precedent setting solutions to unique problems not previously encountered; helping team make decisions which are complicated by the number and nature of existing policy, guidelines, and organizational goals; identifying the root causes of problems; developing systemic solutions to address them and prevent them from reoccurring.
