About the Position: This is a DoD Civilian Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project (Acq Demo) position. This position is covered by the NH-03 pay band with a salary range of $99,200 - $153,354. Responsibilities Provide advice, guidance and assistance to PM Management concerning the contractual/ procurement aspects of highly complex, high monetary value, long term acquisitions for major weapon systems. Consult with the supervisor to manage the complete acquisition program designated major systems/equipment throughout the entire life cycle of assigned very complex systems. Helps establish, plan for and in support of acquisition reform serve on Source Selection Evaluation Board (SSEB) to analyze proposals to ensure conformance with PM’s initial weapon systems acquisition requirements. Respond to a wide variety of inquiries, including formal protests and congressional inquiries. Serve as an advisor to project officials in planning meetings in the development of long-range acquisition plans and strategies. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-02/GS-11).
