Position SummaryMAG Aerospace is seeking a multi-skilled part-time On Call Maintenance/Repair Technician to join our team. The On Call Maintenance/Repair Technician is responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of Project Manager Electronic Warfare and Cyber (PM EW&C) facilities located at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), MD. This role is crucial in ensuring the safety and functionality of PM EWC facilities.Rate: hourly estimating between $30-80/hour depending on job.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesEssential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Hours: on call as required, Mon – Fri 6am to 5pm.
Performs routine maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, fixing minor plumbing and electrical issues, build/repair office furniture, doors, locks, walls, ceilings.
Installs and assemble furniture and fixtures such as shelves, curtains, cabinets, desks, cubicles, etc.
Conducts routine inspections to identify potential maintenance needs.
Troubleshoot problems with equipment or building and liaises with contractors to ensure repairs are completed on time.
RequirementsMinimum RequirementsKnowledge and Skills
Familiarity with general maintenance tasks.
Proficient in a variety of trades including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and painting.
Ability to work independently to address a range of issues while managing time effectively.
Must possess strong organizational, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a positive attitude.
Must have strong communication skills and an ability to read and interpret plans and instructions.
Demonstrate flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and schedules.
Must own tools.
Must have a valid Driver’s License.
Must own a reliable vehicle and demonstrate basic phone/computer skills required for reporting.
Willingness to undergo background checks and drug screenings.
Experience
Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a handyman or in a similar maintenance role.
Education
High School Diploma/GED Equivalent
Preferred
Vocational training or certification is a plus
Other Qualifications
Must be able to lift 50 pounds
Must be able to work in an office/lab environment
