Description:We are seeking qualified construction inspectors (TET I thru TET V) for MDOT or MDTA statewide contracts and surrounding county assignments. Immediate openings in the Baltimore CMI Division.QualificationsExperience Requirements
Experience ranges from entry level for a TET Level I to a minimum of (8) years for a TET Level V
Applicants should have demonstrated construction inspection experience with assorted roadway, bridge, storm drainage, TMDL or building facility assignments involving MDOT SHA construction standards and specifications
Experience with construction inspection contract documentation including preparing Inspector Daily Reports (IDRs), Force Account Records and the Contractor Monthly Payment Estimate process
Candidates must also have all applicable MARTCP certificates
Candidates must have a current SHA Temporary Traffic Control Manager’s Training Course Card (or secure same prior to work assignment)
Candidates must have a MDE RPC Card and SHA E&S Yellow Card
All assigned personnel will need to complete OSHA 10-hour training
Applicant must have a valid driver’s license, good driving record and personal vehicle for travel to and from assigned construction sites. This position may also require extended periods of night work
Good communication skills required
The ability to read/interpret plans and specifications; writing and drawing skills necessary to complete inspection reports and sketches
Basic computer skills (Word & Excel) are desirable as well as experience with using computer laptops or field tablets for preparing electronic IDRs and photographic documentation for various eConstruction applications
Educational Requirements - Minimum High School Diploma or State Equivalency Certificate.Salary - Pay commensurate with experience and ultimately based on the client’s review and approval of pay grade and step for the respective TET classifications.Benefits:
