Job Title: HVAC TechJob Description
Position requires experience in all phases of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) service, operation, and maintenance.
Reports to the HVAC Supervisor.
Operates, maintains, and repairs HVAC equipment for the systems serving the facility.
Responsibilities include performing preventive maintenance and handling emergency calls.
Coordinating with assigned foreman and other trades to complete projects and work orders efficiently.
Diagnosing causes of problems and failures in HVAC systems to identify equipment and system repair or replacement needs.
Fabricating equipment parts to meet specialty needs and replace unavailable parts.
Informing personnel regarding procedures and status of work orders to aid in decision-making, taking appropriate action, and complying with building and safety regulations.
Inspecting HVAC systems and components to evaluate condition, identify necessary repairs, and recommend preventive maintenance.
Installing heating and air conditioning equipment and systems to provide enhanced and upgraded capabilities.
Maintaining vehicle, tools, and equipment to ensure safe operating conditions.
Participating in meetings, workshops, training, and seminars to convey or gather information required to perform job functions.
Performing routine and preventive maintenance to ensure the ongoing functioning of HVAC systems.
Preparing written materials to document activities and convey information. Repairing heating and air conditioning systems and components to ensure a comfortable work environment.
Required Skills
CFC certification
Journeyman preferred
3-5 years of HVAC Maintenance required to be considered
