The Johns Hopkins University Department of Otolaryngology and Epidemiology is seeking a part-time Research Program Coordinator to coordinate study logistics for a research study on oral HPV, cancer biomarkers, and testing. This position involves helping with the day-to-day study activities of a longitudinal cohort study. The job setting includes working in dynamic clinical environments and will require interactions with various study stakeholders and participant types.Specific Duties & ResponsibilitiesStudy Visits (60%)
Schedule participants for in person study visits and remote sample collections, including reminder calls and emails.
Complete study data collection visits including collecting biological samples and survey data and mailing remote sample collection kits.
Perform study administration including tracking data collection, database entry, participant compensation, scanning and uploading documents, and follow-up with participants as needed.
Receive training in and utilize EPIC for needed study participant scheduling and medical record abstraction.
Study Oversight and Coordination (30%)
Ensure quality assurance and quality control for study data collection, reporting to the supervisor regarding concerns and changes.
Organize and manage project materials.
Provide regular updates and reports to the supervisor regarding study activities and metrics.
Complete onboard and other training, as needed.
Other duties as assigned (10%)
Assist with other study logistics, reporting, and other needs that arise.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline.
Some related experience.
Additional related experience may substitute for required education, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
Preferred Qualifications
Phlebotomy experience/certification.
