Senior Program Officer for Employer Engagement

Reporting to the Associate Director for Integration, Global Refuge's Senior Program Officer for Employer Engagement will be responsible for supporting affiliate and partner agencies around the expansion of national employer relationships. The Senior Program Officer interacts primarily with Resettlement and Integration Services, Business Development, the Global Refuge resettlement affiliate partner network, and external corporations who have expressed commitment to hiring refugees at the national level. This role provides critical training and support functions for field staff to engage employers and place clients in meaningful employment. This position will expand employer engagement initiatives and create evidence of improved access to advancement opportunities and inclusive workplaces. In cooperation with other departments, this role builds on Global Refuge's work in refugee economic empowerment to advance the organization's mission, develop strategic partnerships, and explore new initiatives that will put Global Refuge at the forefront of refugee employment integration and economic empowerment. This position can be remote with trips to Baltimore as needed. DUTIES

Drives the strategic growth of Global Refuge's employer engagement efforts for the affiliate network.

The primary point of contact for all levels of affiliate staff, including CEOs and Directors, related to employment engagement and employment services growth strategy and provides ongoing project support functions

Provides strategic direction and supervises the Program Officer for Employer Engagement

Leads and directs the implementation of strategies to grow the number of Global Refuge Partners participating in employer partnerships.

Coordinates and maintains relationships with funders and partners in close collaboration with the Business Development unit.

Develop new program proposals for the growth of Global Refuge's employment work and engage both Business Development and Communications units for recruitment and advertisement of Preferred Refugee Employer Growth.

Oversees and develops new materials, including training, education, advocacy, and evaluation materials for employment and economic empowerment staff.

Maintains and updates the materials, including handbooks, tools, and resources on employer engagement strategies.

Designs, organizes, and implements semi-annual trainings for affiliate and partner coordinators and resettlement affiliate staff.

Oversees the design, organization, and maintenance of the network online communication platform on Global Refuge Connect, including system administrative responsibilities for the program.

Manages and oversees data for the program and reporting for training and engagement.

Directs the connection of employers with Global Refuge's local network to ensure job opportunities are reaching Global Refuge's client base. Provides oversight of support and guidance for both employers and network staff.

Maintains and manages an employer database through Salesforce and general employer inquiry inbox.

Works closely with Global Refuge staff to receive updates on new employer relationships and existing opportunities for upscaling.

QUALIFICATIONS

Undergraduate degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years of experience in a field with a similar or overlapping skill set such as program development, employment or donor services, volunteer management, or the appropriate combination of education and experience.

Experience working in a local resettlement environment or with service providers that serve newcomers is highly desirable.

Experience in developing and providing training and technical assistance to service providers or staff.

2 years of supervisory experience is required.

Exceptional public relations skills, with a track record of incorporating others and cultivating networks.

Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills, including conflict resolution skills.

Exceptional presentation, training, and facilitation skills as well as oral and written communication skills.

Familiarity with issues facing newcomers and the communities they live in, including access to services and integration-related issues; commitment to refugee and immigrant rights.

Exceptional writing, material development, and data collection skills.

Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite programs.
