Systems Engineer

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Systems Engineer to join our team. The role is primarily based in Baltimore, Maryland, within the healthcare, hospitals, and social assistance industry. As a Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for various tasks including but not limited to, administration of Cisco stacks, understanding of Active Directory, and working with Azure. Responsibilities: Administer Cisco stacks and ensure the accurate functioning of the system. Showcase proficiency in handling technical questions and troubleshooting issues. Maintain a strong understanding of command-line interface (CLI). Ensure the security of data by setting up secure systems and preventing vulnerabilities. Demonstrate knowledge of Single Sign-On (SSO) in a modern environment. Work effectively within change management rules and regulations. Showcase a strong understanding of Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTDs) and Firepower Management Center (FMC). Handle core switching tasks and ensure the smooth operation of the network. Work according to the company's needs, which may include after-hours work to resolve critical issues. Display willingness to ask questions and learn on the job. Requirements Strong experience in the healthcare, hospitals, or social assistance industry Proven experience as a Systems Engineer Knowledge of and experience with Cisco Access Points Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues Excellent problem-solving and communication skills Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms Understanding of IT principles and an ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to a varied audience Strong sense of discretion and confidentiality required Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks simultaneously Attention to detail, and ability to work well under various stressful and time-sensitive situations.
