Bakery Manager or Pastry Sous

Well-established fresh-food marketplace, event catering company. Privately held and operated, deeply passionate about creating delicious dishes and menus for special occasions. From fine dining experiences to relaxed buffets and everything in between all. Cakes and custom wedding cakes.

Responsibilities:

Hands-on responsibilities, managing a staff of 20. Implement the processes and practices across the department, formulating strategy, improving performance, procuring material, inventory management, logistics and securing compliance. Develop team to increase quality of customer service and implement best practices across all levels. Monitor inventory, department efficiency, compliant with food safety and local health mandates. Manage financial data, budgets and forecasts, inventory, workflow, quality controls and monitor KPIs. Scheduling and logistics. Coordination project (holidays, Bakery specials) with other departments.

Qualifications:

3+ years’ experience in Bakery Management or Pastry Sous Chef.

Strong leadership skills.

Knowledge of budgeting and forecasting, inventory control practices, managing food costs, food safety regulations and ability to implement proper procedures.

Customer service skills with a focus on creating a positive experience for customers.

Experience in hiring, and training bakery staff.
