Now Hiring: Senior or Junior Machine Operator – Metal Fabrication | East Baltimore
An established, century-old company serving the hospitality and construction industries is seeking a friendly, energetic Machine Operator to join our team of professionals at our East Baltimore office. Key Responsibilities
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specification charts to determine fabrication requirements
Set up and operate metal fabrication machines, including but not limited to:
-CNC punch presses
-CNC laser cutters
-Press brakes
-Saws, lathes, mills, and rollers
-Deburring and polishing equipment
Develop plans to manufacture metal parts according to specifications
Measure and mark raw materials with precision tools
Execute fabrication processes in accordance with company and customer specifications
Monitor machine performance and production output to ensure consistency and quality
Inspect finished products for defects or non-conformities and make adjustments as necessary
Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines and workstations
Document production output and quality control results using shop floor systems
Collaborate with the team to identify process improvements and safety enhancements
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years of experience in metal fabrication or machine operation
Proficient in operating manual, semi-automated, and CNC machinery
Strong understanding of metal properties and fabrication techniques
Experience with Quality Control (QC) inspections and ISO compliance standards
Basic understanding of blueprint reading and mechanical drafting
Good computer skills; experience with SOLIDWORKS or CNC programming is a plus
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
Forklift operation experience is a plus
