Adminstative Assistant Needed (Part time)

Administrative assistant needed.

Requirements:

- Experience with MS Office including ability to create moderately complicated spreadsheets

- Must be able to write business communication without using emojis or Internet jargon like TLDNR

- Must follow the instruction in this ad for responding to the job

- Must be able to read government regulations without your head exploding

- Must be local to the Towson / Baltimore area

Duties:

- Research various data sources and transcribe data to spreadsheets (contract histories, salary survey data, etc.)

- Manage AR/AP (Issue invoices, record receipts, pay bills, enter data into general ledger, etc.)

- File documents such as bills, banks statements, and other material in a systematic and orderly fashion

- Resolve problems such as erroneous billing, missing bank statements, disputes, etc.

- Manage governmental reporting requirements

- Assist with research on legal matters on behalf of clients contesting government contract awards

- Run errands such as post office, FedEx

- Help keep office tidy and organized

Location, hours and telecommuting option:

- The office is in Towson near the traffic circle

- The hours are relatively flexible, although we will want to establish a regular routine of which days and hours you will work.

- I usually work 10am - 7pm, M-F and often on weekends too.

- I am not expecting you to work weekends unless you want to, but I would want a regular Mon/Wed/Fri or Tue/Wed/Thu or even just a Tue/Thu schedule.

- A little over 50% of the work must be done at the office in Towson

- Depending upon the projects at the time, some of the work may be done from your home

Compensation:

- The compensation will depend upon your skills and experience.

- The range for compensation is $20/hr - $35/hr

- Realistically, the compensation will probably be $25/hr-$30/hr per hour unless you have some of the "Bonus skills"

I am not expecting to find a person with "Bonus skills", but if you have any of these skills, I might be willing to pay a higher wage:

- Experience with government RFPs, proposals, and contracts

- Experience with legal research via Westlaw, Lexis Nexis, or the GAO Contract Appeals Board

- Experience writing legal pleadings, briefs, or motions

- Experience with corporate tax preparation
