Job Overview: As a Field Technician, you will be an integral part of our sales and service organization, responsible for providing on-site technical support, installations, and assistance to our clients. The ideal candidate is a proactive and tech-savvy individual with strong problem-solving skills, a customer-focused approach, and a go-getter mindset. This role involves working with point-of-sale equipment and automated teller machines, diagnosing issues, and collaborating with technical support teams. Additionally, occasional off-hours or weekend availability is required to address urgent service needs.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales Support:

Collaborate with the sales team to understand client requirements and provide technical insights during the sales process.

Participate in pre-sales meetings to discuss technical aspects and feasibility.

2. Technical Assistance:

Provide on-site technical support, including diagnosing and troubleshooting issues with point-of-sale equipment and automated teller machines.

Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.

Collaborate with customers to address technical concerns and provide timely resolutions.

3. Installation:

Install and configure point-of-sale equipment and automated teller machines at client locations.

Ensure that installations meet company standards and client specifications.

Provide training to clients on using and maintaining the installed equipment.

4. Diagnosis and Repair:

Diagnose hardware and software issues, including analyzing error codes and replacing faulty components.

Maintain an inventory of spare parts and equipment to facilitate timely repairs.

5. Technical Support Coordination:

Collaborate with technical support teams by accurately reporting issues and seeking assistance.

Communicate effectively with remote technical support to resolve complex problems.

6. Initiative and Development:

Proactively identify opportunities to enhance service delivery and improve technical processes.

Take ownership of assigned tasks and projects, ensuring timely and successful completion.

Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.

7. Flexibility:

Be available for off-hours or weekend calls and emails to address urgent service requests.

Adapt to changing schedules and priorities based on customer needs.

Qualifications:

Technical degree or certification in a related field.

Proven experience as a field technician or in a similar role.

Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Knowledge of point-of-sale systems, automated teller machines, and related technologies.
