The Cavanagh House is a nonprofit trades program. We are looking for a professional upholsterer to teach our students the trade of upholstery and help keep workflow moving. Applicants must have experience in all aspects of furniture upholstery including sewing. This is a full/part time position with a starting wage TBD based on your experience. Individual also must be able to legally work in the United States. Applicants need to speak and understand English but being able to speak Spanish is a benefit.
Our upholstery program currently operates out of a 2500sqft space in the Wicomico building on Wicomico street. This is a paid training program, so it is important for the applicant to be organized and work at a steady pace. All students are trained on commissioned work with deadlines.
