The Boiler Plant Operator runs, maintains, and repairs large steam-generating boilers and auxiliary equipment at the CMI customer site in Beltsville, MD.Key Job FunctionsInterpret gauges, meters, and computerized control systems to track steam pressure, water levels, and combustion efficiency.Perform preventative maintenance—such as replacing valves and gaskets—and conduct repairs to keep equipment from corroding or malfunctioning.Sample and test boiler water, adjusting chemical treatments as needed to prevent rust and scaling.Conduct diagnostic tests, maintain detailed operational logs, and follow strict environmental and safety regulations.Performs other related duties as required
