Job Family :Scientific Research & Analysis (Digital)Travel Required :NoneClearance Required :Ability to Obtain Public TrustLibrary Technician/Paraprofessional - AI and Digital Collections EnhancementThe Library Technician/Paraprofessional will assist in organizing, cataloging, and digitizing library materials, while supporting digital collections enhancement projects.What You Will Do

Assist in the organization, cataloging, and maintenance of library materials.

Support the digitization of print and multimedia resources.

Provide reference and research assistance to library users.

Help manage circulation services and maintain borrower records.

Prepare and process interlibrary loan requests.

Assist with library reports, statistics, and events.

Maintain the physical condition of library materials.

Support digital collections enhancement projects and metadata management.

Collaborate with digital librarians to improve access to digital collections.

What You Will Need

A bachelor’s degree in Library Sciences or related field OR Associates degree and an additional TWO (2) years of experience.

Minimum of TWO (2) years of experience

Experience or familiarity with digital collections, metadata standards, and cataloging processes.

Experience with emerging technologies in library cataloging systems and databases.

Basic knowledge of digitization processes and digital library management.

Exposure to metadata mappings and transformations in library and information science.

Proficiency in using library management software and office applications.

What Would Be Nice To Have

Experience with digital collections enhancement projects and knowledge of digital asset management systems.

Additional certifications in Library Science, Information Technology, or Data Science.

Knowledge of basic preservation and conservation techniques.

Interest in developing new workflows and technology solutions for digital collections.

Previous experience with NIH is highly preferred.

The annual salary range for this position is $87,100.00-$130,700.00.
