Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking a talented Program Manager Department: U.S. Federal Government Location: On-site, Washington, DC Type: Full Time Min. Essential Duties and Responsibilities This is an on-site position in Washington DC. A Remote (Telework) and/or Hybrid work schedule will not be available.

Provide oversight of the service delivery teams and ensure that they fulfill all the contractual requirements specified in the Performance Work Statement.

Ensure all contractually required deliverables are prepared and undergo quality assurance reviews ahead of a timely submission.

Develop the master integrated plan that combines all the individual project plans the service delivery teams are responsible for executing. Ensures the plans are communicated and agreed to with the customer and that the delivery teams have the staff and resources necessary to execute.

Coordinates with corporate Program Management Office (PMO) to ensure delivery teams are utilizing the standard processes, forms, templates for internal support requests, deliverables required at the top contract level, Task Order (TO) financial tracking and forecasting, and corporate progress and status reporting.

Manages all direct labor costs associated with the contract and ensures the incurred costs remain within budget.

Ensures resources assigned to the contract have the technical abilities to perform the duties and responsibilities of their roles.

Ensures all program related deliverables such as Reports, Design Documents, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), etc., required of the contract are prepared in advance of the contractually specified due dates, to allow enough time for a quality review prior to delivery to the customer.

Communicates directly with the customer to ensure they are satisfied with the quality of the services the delivery team is providing. Should the customer be dissatisfied, the Program Manager informs the corporate leadership and assists in the development of actional plans to resolve current issues and mitigate future ones.

Must have outstanding leadership, management and communication skills.

Must have a “Take Charge and Lead” leadership style

Ability to effectively work with multiple stakeholders who may have competing priorities

Prior federal government Program Management experience

Bachelor’s Degree in technical discipline, an additional 8 years of experience considered in lieu of degree.

7 + years of experience managing technical projects

Prior experience in a federal data warehouse and understanding of government procedures and regulations required.

Professional Certifications Project Management Professional (PMP) Required

Years of Professional Experience 8+ years

Desired experience Prior experience in a federal data warehouse and understanding of government procedures and regulations is preferred.

Formal Education Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software/Systems Engineering, or equivalent technical degree

Citizenship Requirement U.S. Citizenship required for this specific opportunity

Security Clearance Requirements Must possess or qualify for a Public Trust (MBI)
