Senior Electrical Construction Inspector

The Transportation Market Sector of AECOM is actively seeking a Senior Electrical Construction Inspector for immediately employment; the employee will be assigned to MDTA Projects in Baltimore and Harford counties, MD. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career in Construction Inspection, specific to roadway electrical items such as roadway lighting, communications, and viable message signage on highway construction projects.  The employee can look forward to projects including various highway and bridge construction projects in Baltimore and Harford counties, MD. Provide guidance to contractor personnel on the proper use of Temporary Traffic Control devices/TTC standards.Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Relies on extensive experience and independent judgment to plan and accomplish goals.Responsible for setting own project deadlines and managing multiple inspection assignments simultaneouslyProvides on-the-job training to new employees and mentors junior inspection staff on electrical construction standards and best practicesResponsible for monitoring conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and/or code requirements by performing comprehensive inspection dutiesPerforms daily field inspections of electrical systems, roadway lighting, communications infrastructure, and variable message signage; maintains detailed inspection records and documentationParticipates in punch lists, testing, and commissioning activities for electrical systems and equipment installationsTracks quality assurance progress and prepares progress reports for project management and stakeholdersProvides input to documentation for area and equipment turnovers, ensuring all systems meet contractual and regulatory requirementsCoordinates with electrical contractors, subcontractors, and other trade inspectors to ensure proper installation and compliance with project specificationsVerifies electrical systems testing results and validates that all work meets applicable codes, standards, and safety requirementsDocuments project activities through photographs, field notes, and inspection reports to maintain comprehensive project recordsManages change orders, Requests for Information (RFIs), and other documentation related to electrical construction modificationsEnsures compliance with OSHA safety standards and temporary traffic control (TTC) protocols on active highway construction sites
