Job Description:We install, service, and maintenance all types of residential, commercial, and industrial garage doors and openers! The ideal candidate will install and repair garage doors, springs and openers in various applications. On a typical day, Installers/techs may install a door and/or opener; or provide service calls to replace broken springs, damaged doors and/or track, replace cables, or provide general preventative maintenance to ensure proper door operation. Most of the work is outside, year-round, in a variety of weather conditions, so candidate must be comfortable working in the outdoor elements. Techs will not only provide high quality installation, but also provide dependable maintenance and repairs to our customers.
Job Requirements: Candidate must also have a valid Driver’s License. Encompass Garage Door and Awning is a Drug-Free Workplace, so the candidate must be able to pass a drug-screen. Some door service and installation experience are preferred but Encompass Garage Door and Awning is willing to train the ideal candidate. The ideal candidate, in additional to conducting him-self /her-self professionally, will also possess some of the following skills:
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
Must possess a strong safety awareness
Candidate must be able to lift 75 pounds or more.
Candidate must also be able to climb ladders and be comfortable working at heights up to 16 feet.
Self-motivated
Familiar with basic hand and power tools. Candidate must own, or have access, to their own set of tools.
Ability to work Monday-Friday with the occasional overtime and after hours
Maintain standard parts on service vehicle to ensure timely repairs to our customers.
Collect payment upon completion for services provided to residential customers.
Mechanical aptitude knowledge and skill in using various hand and power tools
3-5 years previous experience servicing/installing garage doors-knowledge of the principles, techniques, equipment and supplies used in the residential garage door services
World-class customer service skills- establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers
Demonstrates a “Go Getter” mindset who wants to be a part of an exciting company that’s in hyper-growth mode
Be a self-stater who can continuously operate without direct supervision
