DescriptionLeidos is seeking a Computer Support Specialist with an active TS/SCI clearanceto join our team in Suitland, MD.In this role, you will provide you will use your experience to support the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI) in computer installation and break/fix, relocation, repair, and inventory control/property management primarily at the National Maritime Intelligence Center (NMIC) in Suitland, MD and the Pentagon, as well as several other facilities in the National Capital Region.As key member of the Systems Administration team, you will manage and support civilian and military personnel in responding to employee queries and problems concerning their Windows and UNIX workstations by providing subject matter expertise in the existing areas of IT hardware installation (including some server installation and racking), relocation, repair, removal, and destruction.Your daily activities will directly impact real-world operations and assist in implementing and leveraging the latest capabilities of various cutting-edge systems and develop technical solutions to problems that are complex and not always immediately identifiable to timely meet customer’s objectives. Provide subject matter expertise in supporting the Government and Military technicians in the existing areas of IT hardware installation (including some server installation/racking), relocation, repair, removal, and destruction. This also includes installing software, and supporting meetings, briefings, and conferences.

Support the Hopper civilian and military personnel in responding to employee queries and problems concerning their Windows and UNIX workstations.

Assist in the development, documentation, and execution of a Technical Refresh Program (Tech Refresh) for all government IT assets to include recommending technical and functional specifications and product line model selection for TechRefresh of desktop computers, printers, and peripheral hardware.

Update, document, and deliver on-the-job training materials, quick reference guides, task checklists, and standard operating procedures supporting this task.

Coordinate with other teams (e.g. Networks, Telephony, VTC) whenever assistance is needed to complete the job and resolve the Remedy ticket.Occasionally utilize personal vehicle to travel to all NCR sites to perform the execution of customer Remedy tickets requirements.

Document system configuration and inventory of IT assets.

Basic Qualifications:

Active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance.

A High School diploma or equivalent with 5+ years of related work experience, Associates degree with 3+ years of experience, or Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of experience.

Active IAT Level II DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification (e.g., Security+ CE) or higher, or the ability to obtain within 30 days from offer of acceptance.

5+ years of demonstrated experience in the maintenance and repair of Windows, based infrastructure.

Experience with the Remedy Action Request System or Equivalent.

Proficiency in Microsoft Automation Tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and SharePoint).

Ability to write and speak clearly when exchanging information with customers in person, e-mail,web-based text chat, or other written documents.

Experience in using existing enterprise tools to remotely access user desktop views and manipulate system to conduct tactical troubleshooting, verify symptoms, and fine-tune problem description, and to isolate faults to resolve the commonly reported basic problems.

Must have a reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s license as up to 10% may be required in the within the local DMV area.

Preferred Qualifications:

Associates degree or higher from an accredited college or university

Experience with rack-mounted server hardware, physical networking, and peripherals.

Experience configuring Nortel/Avaya and Cisco VOIPs phones
