The successful candidate must be highly self-motivated with a passion for excellence, attention to detail, great communication skills and an interest in process improvement. This position will be responsible for supporting our customer’s system that is installed on-site in Suitland, MD.
• Install periodic software deliveries
• Ensure physical and network security
• Support cyber security evaluations (i.e. scanning)
• User helpdesk support
• Emergent software and hardware repairs
• Tracking and replacement of obsolete hardware and software
• Hardware technology refreshment
• Issue tracking
• Work closely with the engineering team to resolve engineering issues as needed

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• System Administration experience
• Experience with Red Hat (RHEL) OS
• Experience with Shell scripting
• Network experience (logical and physical)
• Experience with hardware (component level diagnosis/replacement)
• Knowledge of IA considerations (familiarity with STIG’s, accreditation processes, etc.)
• Understand basic Postgres/database
• Previous experience communicating with a large variety of stakeholders – technical support, end users, program and customer leadership, etc.

• YUM package management
• Java/JavaScript web applications
• Puppet, cobbler, ansible
• Hadoop, oozie, cluster processing
• Docker/container management
• Signal processing and display processing

REQUIRED EDUCATION

• Bachelor’s degree from and accredited college/university in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education and a minimum of 6 years of related experience.

REQUIRED SECURITY CLEARANCE

• Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD TS/SCI level clearance. Must have a TS clearance to begin work.
