The first eight weeks of classes will be held at 8 Presidential Way, Woburn, MA.This comprehensive, year-long training program is designed for individuals passionate about entering the healthcare field, considering a career change, taking a gap year, or seeking growth within a leading organization. No prior experience is necessary!You will enter the program as a Clinical Assistant, where you will be an integral part of our healthcare team, working alongside experienced professionals who are dedicated to your success. Throughout your year-long Residency Program, you will build your skills as a Medical Assistant, learning to prepare exam rooms, communicate with patients, collect medical history, take vital signs, perform point of care testing, assist in procedures, and more! The first 8 weeks of the program will be classroom training designed to equip you with the knowledge, skills, and practical experience necessary to thrive as a Medical Assistant. After this initial phase, you will continue to work full-time and transition to working full-time at a Primary Care Practice. You will receive additional training on vaccines and support to study and take the National MA Certification Exam.Program Schedule (full-time):All classroom training will run from 8:00am-2:30pm.Weeks 1-2: 30 hours of classroom time, covering topics like medical terminology, vital signs, and medical documentationWeeks 3-6: One day per week in your predetermined and assigned practice (Wednesday) and four days in the classroom (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday)Week 7: 40 hours of hands-on training in your assigned primary care practice with a designated preceptor for mentorshipWeek 8: 30 hours of classroom time, ending with a graduation ceremony on FridayRemainder of the Year: Full-time, hands-on work in a Primary Care Practice solidifying your skills and experience in a real-world environmentLocation Details:First 8 Weeks: Classes will be held at our Woburn location.
