If you're ready to be a part of this journey, then we want to hear from you.The AI Software Engineering Intern will be responsible for developing/validating/optimizing Artificial Intelligence applications that involve AI development lifecycle to optimize solutions on Intel edge hardware. This involves working with various AI engineers, Domain experts, data engineers and data scientists, leading the model development and optimizations, report progress and subsequent deployment. You may also work on infrastructure optimizations and building end-to-end applications.The chosen candidate will also have the following skills in addition to the qualifications listed below:· Willingness to present information and influence technical groups (SP)· Excellent communication skills.Please note that the student needs to be enrolled for the full duration of the student employment. This internship has an expected duration of 6 months and offers a flexible schedule.This position does not qualify for Intel Immigration Sponsorship.This position is not eligible for employment-based visa/immigration sponsorship. Intel sponsors individuals for employment-based visas for positions where we experience a shortage of US Workers. This is an entry level position and it will be compensated accordingly.Minimum Qualifications:
Candidate must be pursuing a BS degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or related field and a Minimum of 6 months of experience in some of the following areas:
Software development expertise to write efficient, readable and well-commented code.
Background in mathematics and statistics.
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum of 6 months of experience in some of the following areas:
SQL, Python, NumPy, SkLearn , Pandas, Data analysis, Statistics Understanding of data privacy and security.
Familiarity with AI Frameworks: PyTorch, Tensorflow, OpenVINO.
Knowledge and practical experience in Large Language Models and Generative AI.

This role may also be available as our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
