As an analytics program manager, you will be a key member of an experienced, mission-driven team of health services researchers led by Mark Friedberg (https://www.linkedin.com/in/mark-friedberg-bcbsma/) , Debbie Peikes (https://www.linkedin.com/in/debbie-peikes/) , and Mariel Finucane (https://www.linkedin.com/in/mariel-finucane/) . We are doing cutting-edge work on methods to measure and improve health equity, evaluate programs, and conduct rapid experiments. This is a great fit for someone who would like to be a program manager in a health services research unit. You can work from our beautiful office in the Prudential Center in downtown Boston or work from home, including from outside Massachusetts.The program manager will ensure the team’s work is impactful with clear communications. They will set up processes and lead the management of resources and schedules, documentation, quality assurance, and coordination for a range of analytic tasks.Our ideal candidate is interested in managing projects in a healthcare analytic environment, thrives working in collaborative team environments, is comfortable interacting with colleagues, has strong organizational and problem-solving skills with a drive to understand how things work and how to make them better, and isn’t afraid to ask questions. This person will be able to ask questions of the business unit to ensure analyses answer the questions effectively and be able to communicate results using data visualization and clear story lining.This candidate is a self-starter who enjoys setting up processes and systems to manage workflow and resources and likes to continuously improve those processes. The ideal candidate has a knack for seeing the big picture while being attentive to details and is comfortable working in a highly matrixed organization, collaborating with experts in health care quality, provider performance, contracting, marketing, sales, behavioral insights, statistics and data science, and information technology.Your Day to Day Establish new processes and then use and maintain them. This includes:

Clarifying analytic questions and goals with key stakeholders to maximize the impact of analyses performed

Keeping team priorities managed focused, creating a database of all active projects, goals, timelines, and key resources

Reduce the risk of errors, rework, and wrong conclusions by designing QC and documentation best practices

Creating a library of learnings so we can better harvest our results

Creating a library of code that has been QA’ed, so we can complete work efficiently

Convening teams and ensuring they are making good progress, managing deadlines, identifying and addressing roadblocks

Running post mortems

Anticipating and mitigate risk

Supporting the SVP, VP, and Directors as needed

We’re Looking for:

Strong academic background with a minimum of a BA or BS degree in a relevant field (Public Health, Business, Economics, Management, Public Policy, Computer Science, etc.)

Excellent organizational, planning, and numerical skills

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Experience in clear presentation of analytic results

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Flexibility to work within a changing environment

High degree of initiative; ability to work both independently and within a team

Knowledge of health care

High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products

What You Bring:

1+ years of health care business or research administrative/management skills with a BA/BS degree required, advanced degree strongly preferred.
