Please scroll to the bottom of this posting to learn more and access the links to submit your talent referral.We are currently seeking an AVP, Senior Operations Performance Lead to join the USNA Operations Group Captives Team. This role will report to the Strategic Operations Leader and may be based from any Zurich North American office location (with preference for Schaumburg)In this role you will direct the planning, execution, and measurement of Large Casualty strategic and transformational initiatives, while engaging directly with the senior leadership team, and will be accountable for shaping and driving transformational initiatives for the SBU as well as Business Unit wide initiatives. In addition, you will help the field management team navigate operational ambiguity, drive problem solving, and upskilling/transferring knowledge to increase overall field management bench strength. This is a critical role within the team, therefore the right candidate would ideally bring advanced knowledge in driving operational efficiencies, creative problem solving, analytical skills and creating management/leadership materials. Advanced underwriting and general consultative skills a distinct advantage.Our AVP, Senior Operations Performance Lead is responsible for:

Leading, designing, and/or facilitating cross-functional projects that promote organizational effectiveness, efficiency, and profitability

Creating timelines, agendas, goals and metrics/measurements.

Guide in the development, implementation, and institutionalization of best practices around execution and change management

Providing methodologies and tools to sponsors and team members to support initiatives and institutionalize a culture that embraces innovation

Taking a holistic approach to identifying business improvement opportunities, developing solutions, managing initiatives and identifying the resources required

Ensuring specific metrics and measurements are incorporated into solutions reflecting the business strategy, tracking progress, capturing the impact of changes, and identifying further opportunities for improvement to ensure successful implementations

Working with underwriting management to drive continuous improvement in operational performance through creative problem solving

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree and 7 or more years of experience in the Claims, Consulting, Risk Engineering or Underwriting areaOR

High School Diploma or Equivalent and 9 or more years of experience in the Claims, Consulting, Risk Engineering or Underwriting areaOR

Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice, including an Associate Degree and 7 or more years of experience in the Claims, Consulting, Risk Engineering or Underwriting areaAND

Experience in Organizational Effectiveness or Change Management

Experience in the application of existing and/or change management methodologies and tools

Project management experience
