Four season horse property, currently 8 horses ( up to 10)
Caretaker must have horse ground work experience, riding is not necessary. This position includes housing with central air, heat, cable , internet and competitive salary.
Caretaker position:
WINTER: include plowing walkways and horse paths , placing appropriate blankets on according to weather, and change blankets as needed throughout the day
SUMMER: includes mowing, weeding, watering, fly masks, fly spray, fly sheets as needed, fans cleaned.
FALL and SPRING: cleanup grounds, leaves, fertilizing fields, watering.
This is an idea of chores but not limited to this list.
Year round: Inventory check list, ordering supplies, restock, groom and inspect horses daily, trash and recycling taken out, manure drop off, meet with farrier or Veterinarians as needed, paddocks and fencing maintained , medications and supplements given as needed.
Clean the stalls, barn, common areas, grain buckets, water buckets inside and out, feed for in stalls and in turnout seasonally.
