The position includes attending the clinic’s coordinated specialty care team meeting and treatment seminars. The CRA will also be responsible for helping to oversee and maintain the clinic’s quality assurance data collection procedures and databases. The CRA will also help coordinate clinic evaluations and will be responsible for meeting with clients and families when they arrive to complete registration paperwork. Additionally, the CRA will coordinate and provide services for CEDAR’s school and work “coaching” service, and will recruit and supervise a team of undergraduate volunteers.Job Location:Boston, MAReq ID:31605BRJob Summary:We are seeking applicants for a full-time clinical research assistant (CRA) position to begin as soon as possible. The CRA would work as a member the Psychosis Research Program (PRP) of BIDMC, with a focus on our clinical high risk for psychosis (CHR-P) clinical and research program. The CRA would have combined roles as a CRA with the CEDAR Clinic, the North American Prodrome Longitudinal Study (NAPLS-3) and a CHR-P imaging study subcontract with Mclean Hospital. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is interested in gaining experience that will prepare them for applications to graduate school in clinical psychology or medical school.NAPLS-3 is a longitudinal study monitoring young people (age 12-30) showing signs of CHR-P over 2 years, with the aim to understand predictors of developing fully psychotic symptoms. The CRA will be reponsible for data entry and management.The Mclean CHR study is a new CHR-P imaging study subcontract with McLean Hospital. The CRA will help with study recruitment, coordinate client visits, and will assist with clinical assessments and cognitive testing. The CRA will also be responsible for coordinating with McLean staff and preparing reports and documents for the institutional review board (IRB).Essential Responsibilities:

Oversee quality assurance data collection, help manage clinic databases

Help with orienting new volunteers and trainees to the clinic

Register new clients for clinic initial evaluations

Supervise a team of undergraduate volunteers

Meet with clients for school/work “coaching”

Manage many administrative aspects of the clinic

Collecting patient vital signs for their psychopharmacology visits.

May assist with preparation of academic presentations, posters and manuscripts.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree required.

0-1 years related work experience required.

Working knowledge of computerized data (word processing, spreadsheets, and database).

Medical terminology.

Experience with computer systems required, including web based applications and some Microsoft Office applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous clinical research project experience.

Customer Service:Ability to provide a high level of customer service to patients, visitors, staff and external customers in a professional, service-oriented, respectful manner using skills in active listening and problem solving. Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.

Physical Nature of the Job:Light work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently to move objects. Some elements of the job are sedentary, but the employee will be required to stand for periods of time or move through out the hospital campus
