BI Innovation Teams are made up of domain experts, product managers, researchers, designers, and engineers who work with industry and Offering Portfolio leaders to further their innovation agendas in the marketplace.On a day-to-day basis, the Manager will help lead the team with use case functions, engage with their domain's varied stakeholders, and report out to leadership. The Individual in this role will be expected to:

Help lead a BI Innovation Team's given use case by:

Testing, validating, and refining detailed use case problem statements, value propositions, and market opportunity for a business

Leading the design and execution of the customer research and experiments required to rapidly validate or invalidate key assumptions and questions related to new businesses

Developing related business case for commercialization, business model, and growth plan

Identifying and communicating demand for technical resources and support dev team sprint planning with cross-functional colleagues through activities such as experimentation and customer interviews

Mapping the internal, client-facing storefront and maturity roadmap for the business

Innovating for the future through offering roadmaps and integration of emerging tech

Serve as a member of and contributor to a Competency Cohort aligned with their skillset and/or interest

Analyze data from research, prospect interviews and experiments with key buyers and customers related to the use case

Report on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly cadence progress and in-process work on behalf of team, tracking towards key deliverables and annual goals

Expectation and responsibility to contribute to our continued methodology and competency development through active participation in designated Innovation Competency Cohort

Serve as a "utility player" and demonstrate willingness to support Innovation Team, Innovation Competency Cohorts, and team or client engagements if/when needed

Qualifications:Required:

Years of experience commensurate to Manager-Level (5-7+ years in relevant project and/or innovation-relevant roles)

Understanding of use cases and application of a technology or technologies to solve for a specific client objective or general business challenge

Demonstrated knowledge of and new ventures or startups and experience in applying design thinking, new product development, lean startup, experimentation/testing, and/or customer development

Preferred:

Ability to understand abstract requirements and identify right technologies for building prototypes and proofs-of-concept

Strong business knowledge in an industry or select industries based on previous client experiences, professional history, and/or personal interest areas

Experience working internationally and/or as a part of virtual teams

Sales, business development, and product growth experience preferred

Key Skills:

Self-starter, natural problem solver with strong ability to apply structured thinking to challenges and apply phased approach to next steps

Adaptive mindset - comfortable dealing with ambiguity, possession of an innovation mindset and willingness to foster this mindset in their team.

Ability to "manage up" leaders by driving consensus among varied Consulting network stakeholders to reach common goals, continuing building, and drive collective work forward

Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to tailor language to technical and non-technical teammates and internal/external stakeholders

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $124,950 to $208,250.You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.   • The Academic Affairs Manager is responsible for the planning and execution of the annual new student matriculation program, the clinical rotation schedule for the internal GSDM department rotations, the 8-week external clinical rotation through the Office of Global Population Health at various community sites, and the postdoctoral scheduling process. The Academic Affairs Manager provides administrative support for the predoctoral promotions committee, following up on the remediation recommendations from the promotions committee. The Manager is responsible for CDCA approval for postdoc students, as well as managing academic elective externship approvals. In addition, the Academic Affairs Manager is a point of contact regarding issue resolution for students involving but not limited to didactic and clinical scheduling conflicts, remediation due to poor grades, and ensuring GSDM students follow the appropriate protocol for the situation and monitoring until issue completion.
