Job Description The department of Pharmacokinetics, Dynamics, Metabolism and Bioanalytics (PDMB) is seeking an Executive Director to lead the Translational Modeling team within the Translational Sciences and Outsourcing (TSO) organization.The Translational Modeling Executive Director will have broad responsibilities encompassing the pipeline, talent development and strategy, and will be responsible for driving application of our quantitative capabilities in the areas of translational PK/PD, data science and toxicokinetics. These efforts are intended to enable earlier and more confident decision making around PK/PD, therapeutic window, modality selection, clinical readiness and dose prediction across all therapeutic areas for small molecule, peptide and protein therapeutics.The successful candidate will also contribute to the alignment of departmental and portfolio priorities within the company’s strategic framework. To achieve this, they will lead a team of talented scientists and partner with cross-functional stakeholders, and be responsible for talent development and performance management of their staff.As a member of the TSO Leadership Team, the Executive Director will contribute to global scientific and portfolio strategy across TSO and the broader PDMB organization. They are expected to demonstrate exemplary ways of working, strong ethics, good negotiation skills and an enterprise mindset.The Translational Modeling Executive Director role will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and talent management for the group through:

Leading a team of >15 scientists and group leaders including people management, scientific and operational oversight, under the direction of the Associate Vice President of TSO

Leveraging drug discovery, data science, translational and disease area expertise to set scientific strategy and provide scientific oversight to identify and optimize drug candidates with a focus on both efficacy and safety

Supporting the diversity of our teams, ensuring equity of opportunity and an inclusive workplace

Identifying resource needs and contributing to resource allocation internally and through management of business operations including travel and outsourcing budgets

Working with TSO leadership to contribute to the development and execution of departmental priorities and ensure broad alignment of individual priorities/ performance of the team with the TSO and larger PDMB vision and mission. As a member of the PDMB extended leadership team, contribute to strategic discussions and execution of PDMB priorities

Providing functional representation on governance committees, task forces or initiatives

Education: PhD or equivalent degree with at least 10 years of drug discovery or development experience or MS/ PharmD with at least 13 years of experience.Required Experience and Skills:

A record of both internal and external impact in driving model-informed drug discovery and translational PK/PD strategies

Demonstrated track record in establishing an inclusive and high-performance work environment through building talent, fostering collaboration, driving results and managing teams to drive innovation and scientific excellence

Experience in performing hands-on translational PK/PD modeling for small molecules and protein therapeutics

Established leader in the field of translational sciences with a track record of external visibility through publications, presentations and/or involvement in professional organizations

Preferred Experience and Skills:

Experience with applying data science approaches such as AI/ML in drug discovery and development to enable AI-driven MIDD

Familiarity with the application of quantitative approaches to inform toxicokinetic/toxicodynamic relationships and the assessment of therapeutic window

  • The Director, 340B Programs and Services will be housed under C3s subsidiary, Community Pharmacy Cooperative, LLC (CPC) and is a key member of CPCs leadership team. The Director, 340B Programs and Services provides leadership and direction for the strategic, operational, financial, and administrative functions associated FQHC entities that have a 340B program working with CPC. The Director initiates the administration and ensures the compliance and optimization of these services at the covered entities optimizing program compliance and performance. They will work closely with leadership colleagues to evaluate best industry practices and internal systems, with an eye toward both future needs and budgetary considerations. The person in this position will integrate 340B pharmacy services with all aspects of pharmacy business operations throughout FQHCs aligned with CPC working closely with the Director, Pharmacy Business Management. This position will also be responsible for helping lead the articulation of what the 340B program means to the FQHC community we serve as well as supporting our efforts to advocate for the 340B program locally and nationally. The Director will work closely with the Director of Pharmacy Business Management, Senior Director of Pharmacy Operations, Director of Clinical Pharmacy Services, and other members of the CPC team, and oversee the remote 340B Program Coordinator group of 340B Coordinators for contracted client FQHCs.
