The Main ResponsibilitiesLumen’s Enterprise Operations organization is looking for a Network Inventory Specialist Intern on our Network Implementation team. This team’s focus is centered around network inventory device and systems management related to customer needs. This intern will have the opportunity to learn existing processes, execute them, and look for improvement opportunities. Interns can expect to assist with hands on team projects and individual contributions.Other tasks will include:
Responsible for Network Inventory redlining and data integrity
learn about telecommunications network inventory
Including: redlines, data integrity issues and causes, and systems
Assist with update of Network design
Other duties as assigned
What We Look For in a Candidate Education Requirementso Enrolled at a 4-year accredited college or university, rising Senior, or Masters level education status at the start of the internship, graduating August 2024 – June 2026.o Major/Degree: In pursuit of degree in Telecommunications, CS, Data Analytics, MIS, Computer Engineering, Engineering or related Proficiency and understanding of:o Proficient with Microsoft Office - Must be proficient in Excel, Word, Access, Outlooko Data Analytics - Knowledge of Agile, SQL, and other analytical tools is a plus Professional Attributeso Excellent written and verbal communication skillso Creative thinker who looks to challenge the norm in problem solvingo Desires to achieve goals and resolutionso Engineering mindset to make creative solutions as problems ariseo Ability to think on your toes and make decisions effectively in fast paced environmento Problem solving mindset with a drive to achieve goalso Can take a task and run with it independently Critical Skills needed to be successful:o Detailed oriented – able to clearly and accurately express technical details in an understandable formato Eager to learn – Technology is constantly changing, and having the drive to learn new technology and apply it is essential to successo Team Player – You’ll need to rely on other people to be complete the project, and need to work well with otherso Problem-Solver – you will need to be able to analyze a situation and make recommendations for resolutions, sometimes these answers are not obvious Work Settingo This position is fully remote/ work from home with opportunity to work from Denver, COo Intern must be able to work 30-40 hours per week during the 10-week program (June – August)o US work authorizationCompensationInternship compensation ranges depends on each individuals level of education, geographic location, and experience/qualifications aligned to the role.Hourly Based Pay Range:Min : $25.00/hourMax : $41.00/hourWhat to Expect NextAfter completion and submission of your application, you will be asked to participate in a virtual video interview.
