In total, AECOM Tishman has built more than 900 million square feet – including the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere, One World Trade Center in New York.Job DescriptionAECOM/Tishman, a leading General Contractor is looking for a seasoned MEP Estimator for our ongoing projects in the Boston, MA area.
Develops proficiency in the use of the Company estimating systems and processes.
Recognizes, understands and applies estimating terminology, measures, concepts and principles for compiling all types of estimates.
Recognizes how various processes/project actions and assumptions may impact the estimate and quantifies the impact.
Assists in analyzing and using estimates to predict key project issues.
Prepares and/or coordinates preparation of full project estimates. Provides complete conceptual and final estimating input.
Understands construction means, methods, and sequences-singe discipline.
Responsible for performing all aspects of estimating.
Assists in the preparation of the Estimate Plan.
Conducts work requiring independent evaluation, selection, adaptation and modification of standard estimating techniques, procedures, and criteria.
Develops wage rate build-ups.
Reads and interprets drawings, specifications, Requests-for-Proposals and contracts.
Develops detailed material take-offs for procurement of bulk materials.
Develops cash flow schedules and estimates.
Prepares scope and bid package breakdowns for subcontract and vendor quotes.
Prepares subcontract bid analysis for scope, cost, and price.
Understands Earned Value Management (EVMS) theory and application.
Familiar with estimating all elements of the MEP trades including:
Plumbing
Fire Protection
HVAC
Electrical
Tel/Data and Low Voltage systems
Site utilities and distribution.
QualificationsMinimum Requirement:
BA/BS Construction Management, Engineering or similar curriculum and 6 years of construction estimating experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Experience in MEP.
Preferred Requirements :
Experience in estimating elements of the MEP trades including:
Plumbing
Fire Protection
HVAC
Electrical
Tel/Data and Low Voltage systems
Site utilities and distribution.
6-10 years demonstrated experience in construction estimating
Experience estimating FP (Fire Protection).
Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing and to work with multi stakeholders
Familiarity / Proficiency with the following software or internet-based programs: Blue Beam, OST, MS Excel, MS Word
Ability to read and take-off – Fire protection systems, Plumbing systems, HVAC systems, Electrical systems, Tel-Communication systems, BMS, Security and Fire Alarm systems.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications.
