They will oversee and manage various projects and tasks within the department, ensuring timely completion, cost-effective results, ingenuity, and alignment with organizational goals. This role requires strong leadership, communication, data analytical and project management skills.Key Responsibilities include:

Lead the planning, execution, and closure of multiple projects within the department.

Develop project plans, including scope, timeline, budget, and resource allocation, and ensure adherence to these plans throughout the project lifecycle.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, deliverables, and milestones.

Monitor project progress, identify and resolve issues, and mitigate risks to ensure successful project completion.

Communicate project status updates, including achievements, challenges, and recommendations, to senior management and key stakeholders.

Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment, providing guidance, support, and motivation to project team members.

Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize project delivery processes and outcomes.

Conduct post-project reviews to evaluate performance, capture lessons learned, and identify opportunities for future improvement.

Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to operations management and project management.

Key Experience:

Over 5 years of either project management, operational, or audit experience including 7 years of overall work experience.

Most of the interactions are within the organization, occasionally with external vendors.

Operational role which is responsible for delivering results that have a direct impact on the achievement of results within the job area.

Working knowledge and experience in own discipline.

Works under moderate supervision with guidance on new projects/ assignments.

Individual Contributor (Inclusive of Sales Positions).

Business, IT, and operational management.

Exercises judgment and builds a perspective to solve moderate/complex issues.

Coordinate project initiatives from beginning to end with direction from the manager.

Support an analytics and automation strategy, in conjunction with audit and controls.

Works with the manager to continue the development of the Workiva application and its utilization within the company.

Assist with all reporting requirements to meet the team’s objectives.

Works on ad-hoc projects assigned by Internal Audit Management team.

Other duties as assigned.

Education:

Bachelor’s or master’s Degree.

Work experience in business and/or audit, process improvement, finance, accounting, or operations.

Effective verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating confidence and professional impact.

Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills – able to work with people at all levels of the organization.

Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team.

Demonstrated strong analytical, organizational, project management, and time management skills.

Workiva experience and advanced Excel capabilities are a plus.

Familiarity with the IIA Standards is a plus.

Certification:

CIA, CISA, CPA, CAPM, PMP, or other audit-related or project management qualifications preferred .

The Operations Bureau The Operations Bureau plays a crucial role within the OIG. It is responsible for a variety of functions, including budgeting, revenue, auditing, financial reporting, office administration, procurement, operations, information technology, communications, human resources, and records management. Fiscal Analyst: Position Overview: The Fiscal Analyst (FA) reports to the Chief Fiscal Officer (CFO). The FA will be responsible for general business activities related to accounts payable, revenue, accounting, auditing, financial reporting, and purchasing of services and commodities for the Office of the Inspector General. The Fiscal Analyst will support the CFO with contracting and encumbrance management; gathering information and generating reports to inform leadership decision-making; and coordinating the development, preparation, and implementation of annual budget cycle activities. Additionally, this position will enter transactions in the Massachusetts Management Accounting and Reporting System (MMARS) including accounts payable/receivable, encumbrances, as well as contracts and interagency service agreements (ISAs). The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of fiscal management, internal controls, and key financial concepts. Responsibilities Include but are not limited to: Preparing and processing all vendor encumbrances and expenditures using the Massachusetts Management Accounting and Reporting System (MMARS). Ensuring that all transactions are processed in accordance with state finance law, OIG internal control policies, OIG procedures, and state laws and regulations including public procurement and contract management.
