The McDermott Lab at MIT is looking for participants for auditory perception experiments that take 1-2 hours per session, depending on the experiment. Studies involve listening to sounds played across a speaker array and reporting what you heard on an iPad. Our goal is to better understand how humans localize and pay attention to sounds. Experiments have separate compensation rates, but total compensation per study session is typically $20-40.
The study will take place on the MIT campus in Cambridge, MA. We cannot reimburse for parking or transportation. There is metered street parking and the study is easily accessible from the Kendall/MIT Red Line Station.
